Is there a way to contribute to a thread in a general way without having to reply to any particular post in the thread? I’m forming the distinct impression that generic replies, because they have to (? AFAIK) be in reply to a previous post, are often taken personally by the individual I select (not necessarily for any particular reason except maybe it was the latest reply) and replying to thread 1 of 20, for example, feels irrelevant when the conversation has moved on from there.
If this is a dumb idea that’s perfectly ok, just wondered if it was feasible in the current configuration.
