Speaking of the minority channel Radio 3, but I guess it illustrates a wider trend. This is the first time in many years of listening to the beeb’s ‘classical’ music programme, I think, that I’ve ever heard a clean sweep like this:
R3 has four three-minute ‘news’ bulletins each morning, consisting only of the main headlines (no estuarine-accented correspondent-babble to pad them out, as happens on 4). I think this may be the first time that I’ve ever heard all four three-minutes’-propa sessions fasten compulsively on just one subject, from end to end. No prizes for guessing which. Nothing else of note happening anywhere in the world, apparently. It’s even invaded the music commentary as well, with Petroc Trelawney commiserating with Ukranians living in Moscow who can’t speak out, so must express their sadness in their performances; and a Ukrainian conductor in Britain worrying about his mother and sister in Kyiv.
Don’t think I’ve ever heard the concern-signalling trowelled on so heavily before. Gives me a certain sly back-handed smile, though: it smacks so unmistakably of absolute desperation; empty-barrel scraping. The babble is full of ‘news’ of ballsless ‘actions’ that Western dorks-in-office are working up; the most ludicrous of them this morning being Lil’ Blinky scurrying around in the Baltic states, conferring with Euro-twerps about how to cut off ALL Russian oil supplies to the West - yes really, with Brent currently at $140 a barrel! How ridiculous can they get? And just as the alarm bells are going off as well about agri-fertiliser supplies in the West - crucially dependent on Russian raw materials - already nosediving…! Desperation, or what? The naked eunuch emperor of the world, allegedly the most powerful ever in world history, revealed in his utter helplessness:
Putin’s political faction - mainly the siloviki: armed forces, police and spooks - decide they’ve no option left to wake-up the incorrigible West to their red-line security demands other than invading and re-setting the Ukraine by force, and the best counter-strike that the West can devise is waves of ritual suicide moves, blindly crowed-up non-stop by the PBB as if it were some sort of wise-statesmen good sense! Incredible!
I’ve been wondering, since I first encountered Dmitry Orlov’s ‘The Five Stages of Collapse’ years ago, when what happened to Russia in the '90s would come to the West, as we could see even then that assuredly it would. I guess my uncertainties are now answered: thirty years later. Here we are, it seems: blind, mad self-harm as ‘rational’ policy…

As I understand it he has been trying to encourage them, Poland specifically, to donate their shonky old MiGs to Ukraine and receive favourable buy ten get one free terms on shiny new F-16s. This didn’t “land” too well though, it seems.
Yes absolutely RG - but I’m not feeling so sanguine about the S**T finally hitting the Empire’s fan, as the battle for Euro hearts and minds is already won. And now they’ve come for our beer (after banning Russian vodka here). I already had a struggle with my favourite local brewer, who happens to be Austrian, but has gone along with the vax mandate for his staff and customers. I was about to visit again to try to persuade him to ignore the mandate, now the THING is dying out (though people are still catching it, or testing positive RATS) - but then Ukraine hit, and I’ll bet he’ll be doing a special “Resist” brew in solidarity with the neo-Nazis. If he doesn’t, all the Greens and social liberationists will be pressuring him to.
Perhaps I’ll just go in there with my “positive RATS for heart health and immunity” T shirt over the top of my Putin Moi Presidient T-shirt.
On the music, I heard that Valery Gergiev, much respected Russian conductor, was sacked from the Munich Phil for refusing to denounce Putin. I wait to hear from the brave Canadian Ukrainian Valentina Lisitsa, who famously performed to audiences in Donetsk in 2014-5. Very hard times, and worse to come I’m afraid, much worse.
Seems to me, D, that USAmerica is now in it’s crash nose-dive, whatever the EUsuicidals do. Looks as if they - we - will all go down about the same time. The Anglozionist empire is full-steaming ahead towards the iceberg…
Funny you should mention that I saw such on BBCRadio3 listed last night…the propagandists have “cottoned-on” to the usefulness of the “liberal” arts…
The lesson of the Twentieth Century is surely that both sides share responsibility for conflict, but the legacy of empire here is for us to forget how marginalised and surrounded Germany was and therefore the inequitable nature of the Treaty of Versailles also how we then used Germany’s imperial ambition to thwart the spread of communism (both within the German State and without). The kids who remind us of the consequences of slavery are right to do so. What is so wrong with our media that they cannot articulate anything like a balanced perspective? Impartiality is a joke, “they also serve who only stand and wait”, and may I add wring their hands posturing and virtue signalling their “liberal” concerns, it’s vomit making. When will our culture begin (finally), to mature?
