Imagine a time in the future where huge complex psy ops have been replaced by smaller, focused, but much more targetted psy ops. One such psy op might be targetted against a message board, focused on calling out the mainstream media on pro-establishment distortion of the facts.
Imagine that this message board has three types of visitors. Regular commentators, occasional commentators and many more who read the discussion, debates, and even disagreement, however, they never comment. Almost without exception, the regular and occasional commentators are articulate, well informed, and while not necessarily anti-establishment, they are always politically to the “left” of establishment policy. They are not afraid of critiquing the establishment and mainstream media.
Imagine, that it would not be long before the message board became of interest to the security services. GCHQ places the message board on their Watch List. Monitor, but take no action except for a detailed identification of every user of the board and tracking of all their other activities. Let’s assume this situation continues for a number of years, while the entire deep state including the security services are working on a major new psy op. One that will change the lives of everyone forever.
Imagine that in preparation for this major psy op, some shills are introduced to this message board. The funder of the message board uses his liberal credentials, with occasional postings, to establish his credentials as someone to be believed and trusted. The shills meanwhile, become regular and hence trusted commentators. Their time will come!
Imagine a time comes when a psy op takes place on a global scale. A pandemic that traverses the globe, sparing no one, rich, poor, black, white, north and south of the equator. The security services in close co-operation with the deep state, and compliant “experts” create an environment of fear, and martial law creeps in almost unnoticed, to help control the pandemic.
In the early days of the pandemic, a few contributors to the message board, start to question the “experts” evidence. They question the way statistics are presented (we all know about statistics, dammed statistics, and lies). The debate on the message board quickly becomes almost the sole topic. Rapidly two groups emerge. Those that believe the official narrative, and those that don’t or at the very least question it. Now is the time for the shills to do their best work. They rapidly ensure the debate goes from reasoned, logical, evidence based, or occassionly just opinions, to force a complete divergence of views. There become the supporters of the official narrative and the disbelievers. The shills ensure there is no room for middle ground.
Imagine, once the groups are polarised, the shills no longer use argument, logic, or evidence to support their position. They follow the mainstream narrative to the letter, and use every opportunity to devalue, and mock the sceptics. Real debate ra[idly degenerates into personal attacks. A few or the more resilient sceptics continue with polite and respectful debate. The majority gradually lose interest and the regular contributors with the best analysis and the most expertise to offer, become the occassional,while the occasional contributors dissapear completely.
But this small psy op within the major psy op is not yet over.
Imagine that the puppet masters in the security services, set up a new, more modern looking message board, and like flies to carrion, the sceptics quickly depart to newer climes. Here, the debate will be civil, the disagreements may be real, but evidence and logic rule the day, and agree or not, there will be no personal attacks.
Imagine, now the security services have all the “dissenters”, that dangerous band of people who are able to think for themselves, analyse, and even question, all in one place. The believers in the pandemic narrative and its consequences, can continue in their day to day debates without any threat to the major psy op. Still quietly monitored, but ineffective as opposition to the deep state.
Imagine that the puppet masters have learnt their lessons well over many years. There are lots of ways to quiet dissent. The new message board quickly generates reasoned, well informed and often expert opinion and debate. Polite in the extreme, yet still questioning or disbelieving the official narrative about the pandemic. Yet the security services have developed their craft over many years. Now is the time to use it.
Imagine that on the new message board, several shills are part of the early band. They are not there to abuse, or debase any arguments, They are there to dilute them with stealth. They treat every argument as if the muntiae are important. Detail their arguments as if experts in statistics, science, and disease. They post so many times on the new board, that the majority of dissenters gradually give up, reduce their debating, and almost stop their regular reading of other posts.
Meanwhile, the shills on the old board, are now unknowingly in two groups. The first group are those with TDS (h/t @RhisiartGwilym), terror derangement syndrome. They watch the roll out of martial law, the complete dissolution of the rule of law and they are happy the dissenters have gone. The second group of shills are also happy, but for a different reason. They are on the payroll of the deep state. Their foreign bank accounts suitably topped up or their crypto-currency wallets fattened.
Imagine, that now cabinet ministers lie to parliament with impunity, government departments give out multi-million pound contracts with no oversight, for products either not yet developed or never to be used. Martial law rolls in quietly with no one noticing.
