Dunno if it’s just me but the site seems to be running really slow for much of the time. Started about 2 weeks ago. Anyone else having problems?
ps I’m using Firefox on a pc.
Same here in south west France, also using Firefox, on a desktop running Linux Mint.
It might be because the Presstitutes are now so awful (for example, did you see that article by the Monbat in today’s Guardian?) that the so-called alternate media is getting flooded with new viewers?

I think @PontiusPrimate said last time it was near its limit for the level plumped for. Sounds like it may have sneaked past that.
Can it be plumped up a bit higher I wonder?
Odd, because it was really fast up until then IIRC.
Very slow and I seem to lose some posts/replies during drafting. I’d assumed it was just me so thanks @Rich for surfacing this.

That’s happened to me a few times too Karen.
Yup! Here too, glad someone else flagged it! Won’t move to edit when prompted and keeps challenging drafts!
Possibly an attempt at disruption? I’ve noticed it’s at normal speed in the early hours (UK time)

UPDATE:
Hi everyone. I had a look through the server performance data, and it seems that our poor little cloud server has been thrashing recently. To try and improve things a bit, I’ve done some basic server maintenance - upgraded ubuntu, rebuilt the discourse software client and restarted the server a couple times.
After all that palaver, the current performance graphs have dropped into a more reasonable window, and it looks to me like this might have improved the speed of the site a bit. I’d be interested to hear others’ experiences in this regard.
If this has improved the problem to an acceptable degree then we can continue as we are for a while longer. If we haven’t fixed the problem and users start experiencing slow page loading etc. again, then I’ll look into upgrading the specs of the server we have, and we can see if that improves things.
Do let me know what your experiences are.

A slight complication is that my proposed chaperones are having their own struggles right now, with health and economics both; so I’m not pressing them, though I know they’ll want to help.

I’m going to sit in the field with the cows and my cat, and write some poetry.
Interesting thing here (this thread) is that everything runs, at core level, on Linux.
I’m no techie, so correct me if I’m wrong.
