Lobsided for sure.
I meant to share the video which demonstrates a bit of what the neighbours (many since it’s the downtown of the nation’s capital city) are experiencing. This is eating away at the quite widespread goodwill or at least tolerance that the protest was receiving last weekend.
No worries, me too. I watched the honking clip, scratched my head, and only then realized it was muted
That does suck, no two ways about it
Did I imagine it or was there some incident involving disrespect or damage to a war memorial?
Maybe it was these guys, they are pretty well traveled I think
The photo was taken at a summer 2020 anti lockdown demo in Trafalgar Square and looked very like planted disinfo to me, especially given the rapidity with which it spread on Twitter, to discredit the protests. Outside the Canadian Consulate iirc, hence the national flags.
The guy in the white definitely knows he is part of a show.
Dishonouring the Fallen and failure to wear poppies are perennial tropes in British propaganda, along with that new fave antisemitism.
Thanks Jackie - I guess I’m being lopsided too, but my excuse is there are two protagonists in this ‘trade dispute’, and one is getting the blame for taking the only action they can take, while the other side is getting off scot-free and is able to play the public and media grumbles to its own advantage.
It’s a dynamic that due to the partisan media, always favours the government.
