I was in this neck of the woods in May. Went to Handa island, and saw the huge felled areas. Saw several proper logging trucks on their travels too (sadly empty so no idea of size or guessed usage). There were no saplings to be seen that were planted by man.
Been a funny week for wind power. Yesterday, Starmer was telling us we need more wind power and it’s costing each family £180 a year.
Yet Sunday I read that wind power generation needs more subsidies. Siemens has announced a $4.5 billion loss due to wind power
Maybe the global failure of the Paris Agreement is about to make it to the Western MSM - since China has announced it has no intention of pursuing so-called climate friendly power generation it must become obvious to the world and his wife that Western net zero, electric cars, renewables are a complete waste of time!
Ergo - the renewables industry are seeking to accelerate the deal signing at the highest price whilst they can!
we just need some people who can translate their articles into readable english for the man in the street (like me!) so the house of cards can be revealed.
I wonder also what the lifespan is for the average windmill given the number of battery implosions that have rendered these bird killers useless! How many times would they have to be replaced for the carbon footprint, produced by the removal and disposal of the defective ones together with the creation and erection of new windmills, to exceed that of the fuel source the windmills were supposed to replace? Or does this occur with the original windmill?
Whether or not the ‘durability’ of the windmills has improved I don’t know, but the Blyth wind farm has been decommissioned within twenty years:
